Amanda is Managing Director and Prince2 qualified New Media Producer.

As part of Twentyfourten she has worked with and on behalf of Government agencies. She is a well respected consultant who has created website briefs and solutions for several national high profile initiatives.

Amanda will take your initial ideas for a website and come up with a suitable architecture and functionality for the site. She will price the work, manage the project and be the main point of contact for all queries.

Simon Knight

Simon Knight is the Creative Director at Twentyfourten. Simon will take a detailed design brief and come up with inspired visuals to match your ideas.

Simon has worked in web for the past ten years and creates design specifically tailored for web (as opposed to creating a design and shoehorning it into a web environment). Simon is a 'user-focused' designer and any visual he creates is practical and as well as aesthetically striking.

Simon has developed major brand identities for clients such as Transport for London's creating the design concept for 'Walk London', Lippy Films and Intrepid Investments.

Print and Branding

Websites are now frequently the main product in a marketing campaign. Twentyfourten are often asked to create the brand identity for the website initiative and are happy to provide follow through and tie-in marketing assets and products to accompany the initiative.

Twentyfourten can create; logo's, provide booklets, brochures, posters, business stationary, even t-shirts - whatever you might need to promote your project we can help you with it.

Content Management Systems

The Content Management Systems we build are completely bespoke, allowing you to decide what areas of the site you would like to add, edit and delete and what data you would like to access. The areas can cover the range of News pages, Image Galleries, Contact Databases, Video upload, additional pages; whatever you think will need to be changed on a regular basis or will be helpful to you to have access to.

We can give training on how to use The Content Management system but the systems we build are so user friendly that a couple of hours training is usually enough.

We also offer to update your website ourselves. We will always give a quote for the work you request before we go ahead and make the changes. There is no minimum maintenance cost. We will update your site for you as and when required with no minimum tie in cost.

Web Technology

Rethinking how existing web content can be better utilized for todays differing user platforms is an important consideration in keeping your web-site up-to-date with Web Technology. Many aspects of best delivery over the web have changed recently, and Twentyfourten are happy to help you get the most out of your web-site or project.

CSS - if you're still using a 'tables based build' for your web-site a CSS re-build is the best place to start. CSS will allow your site to be viewed consistently well across more platforms and browsers, it will help with accessibility problems and improve SEO results.

RSS News allows Twentyfourten's clients to open their News articles to beyond just their own web-sites. This exposes a company, project or initiative to a wider audience than their stand-alone web-site and allows subscribers to RSS feeds to dynamically receive new articles 'as they are published' without having to remember to visit the site!

Mobile Web - Your web-site is now viewed not only by the familiar desktop user with a PC that it was designed initially to appeal to, but by a massively growing mobile audience using smart phones or PDAs. It's important to not deny these mobile users your site's information and content; do you need an alternative CSS layout that is suited to displaying your web content in a more simple 'stripped-down' way? Does your site need to offer alternative video formats more suited to mobile phones? Do you need a mapping solution or downloadable 'app' for mobile users? At Twentyfourten we can't claim to see the future, but we can see that the needs of today's mobile web users (who already are in their millions in the UK) should be considered now, as the 'mobile web' looks like having as many users as traditional PC users very soon.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

As standard Twentyfourten use appropriate CSS tags and Web Standards in all their web-sites to stress the importance of page titles, headlines and contextual information. We will also explain how to use keywords and their frequency in page copy to maximize exposure to the Search Engines and the importance of regularly updated content, all part of the service that sees our clients enjoy very good Search Engine positioning.

We also offer an extended SEO service that includes Google Ad word campaigns and improving result placement through link building etc.

Simon and Amanda were part of the winning team of the National Library for the Blind's Visionary Design Award as far back as 2002 and have continued to keep up to date with accessibility guidelines and legislation. We appreciate the importance of accessibility and put our thorough understanding into practice in the sites we build.

Accessibility isn't just about accessibility for those with visual impairments but about your site being accessible for everyone, however they are viewing the site and on whatever platform, mobile device they are using. Our designs and site development ensure that your site will meet the accessibility levels you require.

It will help to have some idea about the size of the site you would like and any special functionality you would like the site to have. Anticipate how often you think the site will need updating. We will usually be able to get a ball park figure back to you within 48 hours. If that cost is agreeable then we will meet with you to firm up a specification to give you an accurate cost.
